As part of the Advocacy Coalition – Defending Our Future Now, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Luxembourg presents a special screening of Eddy’s War, a documentary exploring the realities of Russia’s war against Ukraine through the lens of Dutch war photographer Eddy van Wessel.
Directed by Joost van der Valk, the film follows Eddy van Wessel @eddyvanwessel, the Netherlands’ most awarded war photographer, as he travels along the Ukrainian front lines in search of one powerful image that could capture the reality of war. Through his encounters with Ukrainians, the documentary reveals the human stories behind the photographs and the emotional challenges of documenting war.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:
- Eddy van Wessel, Dutch photojournalist
- Inna Yaremenko, President of LUkraine asbl
- H.E. Carin Lobbezoo, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Luxembourg
More than a documentary screening, this event is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of photojournalism, the human impact of war, and the stories of Ukrainians whose experiences deserve to be seen and heard.
