In 2026, Ukraine marks the 35th anniversary of its Independence — a milestone that represents freedom, democracy, national identity and the continued determination of Ukrainians to defend their future.
As part of the Advocacy Coalition’s activities, LUkraine invites the Ukrainian community, friends of Ukraine, partners and supporters to come together in Luxembourg on Saturday, 22 August 2026.
The programme will include the Independence Auto Rally from 14:00 to 15:00, followed by a community gathering with Ukrainian music and an opportunity to meet, connect and celebrate together.
The event is not only a celebration, but also a public expression of solidarity with Ukraine. By bringing Ukrainian flags and voices into the streets of Luxembourg, we remind the wider public that Ukraine’s independence, security and European future continue to matter.
The event is accompanied by a fundraising campaign aiming to raise €2,000 for five Starlink units for a verified Ukrainian defence unit operating in conditions where reliable connectivity is critical. The fundraiser will remain open until 31 August 2026.
